Kuchi cuffs open on a hinge, and close with a metal rod that runs the length of the piece. Old handcrafted cuffs from the Kuchi nomad tribes of Afghanistan and Pakistan, date unknown. These Kuchi, Afghani & Turkoman bracelets & cuffs are made from "gillit", a mixed metal that is mostly brass, nickel, and old melted down coins - low silver content is common.
Condition: Central Asian tribal jewellery is worn from years of
authentic use, perhaps a dangle or stone is missing, perhaps there are dings here and there, and the metal has aged with time but this adds to its character This jewellery has really been places. CONDITION OF THE PIECE SHOULD BE EVIDENT IN THE IMAGES, PLEASE VIEW THEM CAREFULLY.
